Juan Felipe Acevedo has over a decade of experience representing clients in workplace disputes and complex litigation. He combines analytical rigor with a genuine commitment to helping individuals navigate some of the most challenging moments of their professional lives.
Juan Felipe’s background spans private practice at premier global law firms, government, and in-house roles at multinational companies — giving him an insider’s understanding of how employers think, how disputes develop, and how to build the strongest possible case for his clients.
His employment practice encompasses all workplace disputes, including discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, and wage and hour disputes. He advises employees, executives, entrepreneurs and established businesses in navigating disputes through clear, strategic counsel.
Juan Felipe holds a Master of Laws degree from Columbia Law School, where he graduated with Honors, a law degree from Universidad del Rosario, and a postgraduate certificate from Universidad de los Andes. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is admitted to practice in New York and Colombia.
While in Colombia, Juan Felipe provided pro bono legal counsel on employment matters to The HALO Trust, a humanitarian organization dedicated to clearing landmines remnants of armed conflict.
Outside of his practice, Juan Felipe enjoys travel, gastronomy, and staying active.
